  • The Council asks for outline detail of commodities that the applicant wants to sell. There are limits on the types of trades permitted, for example Take Away foods, refreshments.
  • We positively encourage applications from local food producers and arts and crafts locally manufactured.
  • Leases are available for a period of five years. Rents are determined by what zone a particular stall comes under - details can be supplied prior to an application being made. A service charge is levied in addition to the rent together with business rates.
  • The Council does maintain a waiting list of applicants who are contacted when a stall becomes vacant. Viewing is arranged and charges are fully explained at this stage. Alternatively existing stall holders can advertise their leases for reassignment in the local press.
